Track Of The Day – Sissy And The Blisters – Vicious Beggar

Guildford’s Sissy & the Blisters demonstrate their energetic brand of  punked up garage rock via today’s free download  ‘Violent Beggar’, it’s the B side to their latest single ‘Killing Time’ and a resounding live favourite. There’s a hint of psychobilly, some swirling triple organ action and even a dash of legendary rhythm’n’blues pub rockers such as The Godfathers and Dr Feelgood.  Throw in singer James Gerad’s dark, passionate vociferous vocals that reside somewhere between Nick Cave’s Castle and Jim Morrison’s Mansion and you have a recipe for some rather thrilling musical fireworks.  Now brace yourself and prepare to light the fuse below…. :cigarette:

And while you’re here why not listen to the latest single.
