Well we had a bit of a week off as it’s festival season and as such the release schedule often slows down. Which can be a bit of a double-edged sword. TBH I think I still have PTSD from Watching Woodstock 99 on Netflix. Jesus H Christ.
Greed, frat boy wank rock, entitlement and everything wrong about the arse-end of the nineties and the music business. It’s no exaggeration to say it makes Hieronymus Bosch’s vision of Hell look like a pretty picture postcard.
Anyway, to the music …
This arrived a week or so ago from Trementina , who are a Chilean shoegaze collective from Santiago. They made headlines a few years back when they were denied a visa by the US government to play SXSW, despite producing their “beautiful noise” for a number of years and being signed to a US label.
“I Can Show You Wonders ” is a return for the band combining dream pop and shoegaze quite beautifully to create a beguiling sonic soundscape.
