I first came across this track on Tom Robinson’s Fresh On The Net site, and it became immediately apparent that Coming Up Roses are blossoming with potential.
One listen to “Don’t Let It Break Your Heart” and I was hooked. It’s is a veritable dream-pop explosion, a soaring slice of shoegaze heaven swirling with the ethereal vibes of Slowdive fronted by Dolores O’Riordan whilst seamlessly blending hazy guitars with driving alt-rock energy to create a truly anthemic soundscape.
This Singapore-born, London-based outfit revolves around the powerhouse duo of bassist/vocalist Emily Sera and guitarist Darius Oon. Their upcoming EP, due in April, promises to be “blooming*” marvellous, and hopefully further showcasing their captivating sound.

*That’s probably a flower pun too far, I really should have rose above it – time to nip it in the bud.
