I LIKE TRAINS return with a track that bids a not-so-fond farewell to Boris Johnson. It’s very much still in the universe of their previous album Kompromat and as you might expect from the Leeds collective, who have a knack for getting to the heart of the matter with just a few well-chosen words, it’s bang on the money. Talking of which it’s also available on a pay-what-you-like basis via the band’s Bandcamp (below.)
The band say – “It’s a miracle! We’ve recorded, mixed, mastered and released a track in almost exactly one month. Unheard of in I LIKE TRAINS’ extensive history. And yet… it’s already out of date.
Here’s our ode to Boris. Specifically, the line we were fed by him and his cronies, that despite all of the scandals ‘he delivered’. And somehow, that’s his legacy sorted. Somehow.”
