Track Of The Day – Snakadaktal – ‘Dance Bear’

Possibly not one of the best band names we’ve ever come across, but when you have a song as uplifting and frankly as AWESOME as ‘Dance Bear’ you could call yourself  “The Insidious Exploding Underpants” and nobody would care.  As a point of musical reference we could say Snakadaktal sound a little like an  impassioned version of The XX fronting The Foals, imbued with  Grouploves wide eyed sense of wonder, but really this is just too good to blithely pigeon-hole and should be enjoyed for what it is, quite simply a gorgeous, soaring beautiful fucking tune!

‘Dance Bear’ is powerful passionate, and is endowed with that sense of  starry eyed youthful yearning that disappears over time under the crushing burden labelled “responsibility.”  Yes Snakadaktal we envy your youth, your talent, your vigour, optimism and your freedom! ;)

‘Dance Bear’ is  this young Australian band’s official UK début and is released on 4th February as a double AA-single  with  ‘Air’ via the wonderful Young & Lost Club Records. It certainly makes up for Stefan Dennis and Jason Donavan!
