Track Of The Day – The Death Of Pop – ‘Mirage’

‘Mirage’ is from Bournemouth quintet The Death Of Pop, a masterful example of euphoric janglegaze pysch pop.  It’s an all-engulfing wave of glorious melodic noise with heroic chiming guitars and a languorous vocal that resides somewhere between Ride’s Mark Gardener and a rather more tuneful less nasal Ian Brown.

It’s from their forthcoming ‘Fifths’ Ep which is being released as flexizine (i.e./ a 7″ flexidisc record accompanied by a 20 page zine) by Art is Hard Records, and you can order it here
