‘Mirage’ is from Bournemouth quintet The Death Of Pop, a masterful example of euphoric janglegaze pysch pop. It’s an all-engulfing wave of glorious melodic noise with heroic chiming guitars and a languorous vocal that resides somewhere between Ride’s Mark Gardener and a rather more tuneful less nasal Ian Brown.
