The Goa Express’ new single ‘The Day‘ clatters along at a fair old pace with a tune that would sit well alongside contemporaries such as the likes of Shame, and LIFE. ‘The Day’ was recorded at Champ Zone with Nathan Saoudi of Fat White Family– and it does have that air of chaotic danger that early FWF releases had. Its scuffed up, edgy and full of nervous energy, the new tracks are all about “about the fake, social media platform of our society, lick arses and how everybody wants to pretend that they’re friends.” …Which could also describe the music industry to a tee !

That quote about the track is surely about “Be My Friend” not The Day”?
the band had that quote in press release – Although they also said “new tracks in the plural ” So maybe so ;) – https://www.google.com/search?q=Goa+Express+-+%E2%80%9Cabout+the+fake%2C+social+media+platform+of+our+society%2C+lick+arses+and+how+everybody+wants+to+pretend+that+they%E2%80%99re+friends.%E2%80%9D&oq=Goa+Express+-+%E2%80%9Cabout+the+fake%2C+social+media+platform+of+our+society%2C+lick+arses+and+how+everybody+wants+to+pretend+that+they%E2%80%99re+friends.%E2%80%9D&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIICAEQABgWGB4yCAgCEAAYFhgeMggIAxAAGBYYHjIICAQQABgWGB4yCAgFEAAYFhgeMggIBhAAGBYYHjIICAcQABgWGB4yCAgIEAAYFhgeMggICRAAGBYYHtIBCTU5MTZqMGoxNagCCLACAQ&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
