North East band The Prison Library’s latest offering “Lovesick” is something a little more than merely a great song full of sweet melodic hooks, driving rhythm and intelligent dark, heartfelt lyrics. It’s also the sound of a band scaling new musical heights and hitting their musical “sweet spot” so to speak. Moreover, by doing so, they have clearly marked themselves out as a band to watch out for in the future.
If that doesn’t tickle your fancy then perhaps we should add that Let’s Buy Happiness singer, and our very own Angel of the North, Sarah Hall lends her stunning pipes to a track that rewards the listener after repeated plays, becoming an addictive and deliciously insistent earworm.
