Cardiff retro pop sensations The School return with a glorious, effervescent, swirling spirit lifting tune that demonstrates just how life affirming great pop music can be. “Never Thought I’d See The Day” is the lead track from their new EP and sees Liz and the gang craft the perfect bitter sweet pop song. It’s a tune that explodes into life with such zest and energy that it practically redefines the expression “joie de vivre.” Maybe one day all pop will sound this good.
Verdict? – Aural sex.
The EP’s track-list is as follows 01. Never Thought I’d See The Day 02. When He Kisses Me 03. Where Does Your Heart Belong? 04. I Wouldn’t Know What To Do.
It’s Out Mon 26th March 2012 on Elefant Records.
And eternal teen queen Molly Ringwald who is fan (see here) will no doubt, like us, be eagerly anticipating The School’s soon to be released second album ” Reading Too Much Into Things Like Everything”
the sound of summer. Great song
It certainly is Mr O’Diddlesticks. Lots of other fine tunes on the EP too
