Track Of The Day – Wolf Alice – ‘Bros’

We are as short on time today as David Cameron is on integrity,  but we’ve always got time for Wolf Alice. One of our tips for 2013, Wolf Alice  go from strength to strength and appear to take monumental steps forward with every release whilst seem to be able to traverse any given genre with an effortless grace that few bands can manage. Folk, grunge, dream pop, Wolf Alice nail them all and their latest offering  ‘Bros’ is a spiralling, majestic wonder that again demonstrates what a wonderfully warm, expressive voice Ellie Roswell has.  She starts the song sounding like a more emotionally engaged Hope Sandoval, before wrestling with Kim Deal and finally ends the song going toe to toe with Liz Fraser in the “Voice Of God” stakes.  Quite simply stunning.

‘Bros’ is released on Chess Club Records on 20th May
